We went there on October 2011 with my family and friends. We experienced the excellent customer service of restaurant staff. Including the ambiance in the restaurant plus the very good food.
Excellent Customer Service and Food.
Great place to go to if you are craving for reasonable priced Indian food in Riyadh. The ambiance is not that great and recommend the restaurant in case you are celebrating any special event. But a great option for causal dine-in or take aways.
Great Indian Food.
The ambiance is excellent. The staff is good. I cannot comment on the menu since I seldom eat at Indian restaurant so I cannot compare. A bit cheaper I guess. We will try again if we get the chance.
A friend recommended this restaurant so we tried it and we've never gone back to Spice where we frequented every weekend. The food at Indian Summer is delicious and one of my favourites is the Aloo paratha with the Fruit curry. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a great Indian restaurant to take your family or friends!
If you are really hungry and longing for "desi khana" in riyadh then this is THE place to be. Lovely spread with great hospitality and the food tastes are just not compromised. Superlative experience.
I had dinner at Indian Summer with 4 female co-workers. We had a booth in the Family Section and enjoyed a pleasant dining experience. We were allowed to share a number of dishes among us, and had both lamb, chicken tikka, bindi massala and califlower + bread and rice. First, we had a complimentary serving of papandums, pickles and dips. The food was good and plentiful without being exciting, and the waiters friendly and professional. On our way home, they helped us locate our driver - it had started to rain a lot. Indian Summe can certainly be highly recommended: it is a nice and comfortable place where a group of females can dine together. The price was low compared to international standards.
Nice Food and Friendly Service
Excellent service and good taste. There are family section and Banquet.
Great Experience in Dine-In.
There are several Indian Summer locations in Riyadh. There is also a small one at King Abdullah Road and Khalid Bin Al-Waleed Street (It is on Khalid bin Al Waleed but near the intersection). The food is quite good, ambiance, and service are excellent. I have eaten at other authentic Indian restaurants with the same high quality food, but for less money. Therefore I feel here you mostly pay for the ambiance and eating in a place with a more upscale feel. But as long as you don't feel you need to get value out of every dollar spent, this restaurant is certainly to be recommended.
i went there with my colleagues last march 17, after work. they got to order the food for me, cause that was my first time and i had no complains at all. they were spicy just the way i like them. :) and the waiters are all smiling, that's a plus for me.
Definitely not my last visit.
Have already been to many Indian restaurants before, last month i am been to this one twice and just loved it. The ambience, service, cleanliness is fabulous, Finally the quality and taste of food which i am fond of is also too good to resist. Had few items and all of them made me to lick my fingers. Try Fish Tikka, Lobster Peshawari and Chicken Chop.
One more Indian Restaurant worth mentioning.
I've been to quite a few Indian restaurants in Riyadh, but this is definitely the best. The food is great - the Balti Aloo was crunchy, the bread was delicious and both me and my friend were very satisfied with everything we had. But what really sets this place apart is the service: friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. An example: I had ordered bread rather than rice, but when my dish (Kashmiri Dum Aloo) arrived, I saw that it was quite 'wet' and needed rice to soak up the sauce. Instead of obliging me to order a full serving of rice, however, which would have been far too much for me, the waiters kindly brought me a mini-serving of rice - for free! This is the kind of thing which sets 'Indian Summer' apart from the competition. Although the restaurant (we visited the Suleimaniyah branch) was fairly quiet when we arrived at about 8 on a Thursday evening, there were already queues for tables by the time we were leaving. It was noticeable that many of the diners seemed to be Indian, which I think is a good sign in an Indian restaurant. Its popularity is well-deserved!
The Best Indian Restaurant in Riyadh
The service is the best part of Indian Summer. Chinese food is not so good, the typical Indian Cuisine is really tasty
Nice Prompt Service.
Reasonably fast service and pleasant surroundings. The server was very nice. The food is fantastic, the amount of food was worth the cost. Our third visit here. Just a great place to dine out. Highly recommended.
Worth the cost.
I visited the Sulemaniya branch with my family for dinner. We were greeted nicely by the service staff and led us to a comforable location. It was a nice & cozy place. I am familiar with indian foods since I have many Indian colleauges in the office where I was always invited for lunch & dinner with other indian restaurants. The food in Indian Summer is great and the service is excellent. We are thinking of coming back there to have a taste of the other variants.
